Spring is when I make my worst and best decisions.
It’s when I fall in love too fast, drink the good wine too early, and convince myself this time it’s different.
Always Hungry starts there.
At tables that lasted too long.
With people I should’ve left earlier.
With food that saved me anyway.
This isn’t a food project. It’s a record of what happens when appetite leads and wisdom follows later.
There are birthdays.
There is grief.
There is butter, oysters, ribs, bad decisions, and the occasional miracle.
Spring doesn’t ask if you’re ready.
It just pours another glass and says,
come sit — you’ll feel better after you eat.
The table is open.
Pace yourself.

Always Hungry: Spring is the first book in a seasonal series.
Spring holds my birthdays, my returns, my excesses, my losses, my awakenings.
It is the season where hunger wakes up — sometimes gently, sometimes recklessly.
The book opens at a crossroads: St. Joseph’s Day, 2019, on the Pelješac peninsula — oysters, grief, power, and a life quietly breaking open.
It closes in May 2025 on Cres island after 90 tables, when repetition finally gives way to choice.

I’ve lived across four continents.
I’ve worked in food, travel, hospitality, real estate, luxury services, and consulting.
I’ve been overfed, underfed, steady, reckless, sober, curious, and always paying attention.
Always Hungry is where all of that finally sits at the same table.
